Duties
- Provide a wide range of hair styling services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable styles and products
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools according to health regulations
- Upsell retail hair care products and treatments to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments
- Foster strong client relationships through excellent communication skills and personalized service
- Stay current with the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education
Experience
- Valid state cosmetology or hairstylist license required
- Proven experience in professional hair styling with a portfolio of work preferred
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon environment
- Experience with retail sales and upselling techniques is a plus
- Previous experience working at the front desk or handling appointment scheduling is desirable
