Pay Rate: $23/hour
PGW Autoglass is seeking a motivated Day Shift Supervisor to join our team at our automotive glass warehouse. You will play a key role in supervising day shift operations, ensuring that processes are followed efficiently and that workplace health and safety standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of employees while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with operational requirements and deadlines.
- Ensure established procedures are followed to optimize warehouse operations.
- Enforce workplace health and safety policies and protocols.
- Identify and resolve operational issues as needed.
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and other ERP platforms to monitor inventory levels, track work orders, and manage supply chain activities.
- Implement process improvements by analyzing workflow data, identifying bottlenecks, and applying lean manufacturing principles.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to uphold product specifications and address any deviations promptly.
- Support the training and development of team members in areas such as mechanical knowledge, ERP systems, and manufacturing best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory role, preferably with exposure to assembly lines or process-driven environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity with ERP systems like SAP and MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of supply chain management practices within a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze processes for efficiency gains.
- Basic understanding of quality control procedures and safety regulations.
- Prior experience working with process improvement initiatives and implementing ERP solutions is highly desirable.
