About the role
As a Skilled Finishing Carpenter at Datum Homes, you will work across a wide range of residential construction and renovation activities, with a strong focus on finish quality, precision, and site professionalism.
You’ll be involved in all stages of the build process, collaborating closely with project leads and specialized trades to deliver homes that are well built, well finished, and thoughtfully executed.
This is steady, year-round work on high-end projects with a team that values skill, reliability, and pride in the craft.
What you’ll be responsible for
Performing high-quality carpentry and finishing work across custom homes and renovations
Executing detailed finish work including trim, millwork installation, doors, hardware, and custom details
Supporting broader carpentry tasks such as framing, site prep, demolition, and coordination work as needed
Working alongside specialized trades including concrete, cabinetry, glazing, and landscaping
Reading and interpreting drawings and details to execute work accurately
Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional job site
Safely operating tools and equipment with care and precision
Communicating clearly with project leads and contributing to problem-solving on site

Experience and qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of residential construction experience with proven finishing and detail work
Strong skills in finish carpentry, trim, and custom detail execution
Experience in custom home building or high-end renovations is a strong asset
Comfortable using a wide range of hand and power tools safely
Valid driver’s license is an asset
Pay and hours
Hourly wage range: $28.00–$38.00, based on experience and skill level
Overtime opportunities available immediately
