Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from inception to completion. Duties
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop detailed project schedules to track progress and identify potential delays early.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify accuracy and feasibility before project commencement.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to align project objectives and resolve any issues promptly.
- Utilize construction estimating tools to prepare accurate cost forecasts and manage project budgets effectively.
- Oversee the use of construction management software for documentation and communication.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety compliance, quality control, and progress; address any discrepancies immediately.
- Manage procurement processes by reviewing bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials using construction estimating techniques.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and daily logs.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by mentoring junior staff and promoting best practices in construction management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or as a Project Manager within the heavy industrial/civil or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for accurate project execution.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software.
- Demonstrated ability in construction estimating and managing budgets effectively throughout project lifecycles.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Solid understanding of construction safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents accurately.
