Pressure Kleen is Ontario's most established commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning company, 60+ years in the market, IKECA-certified crews, and a client roster that spans national restaurant chains, hotel groups, hospitals, institutional kitchens, and facility management portfolios.
We are hiring a Senior Sales Manager to own the commercial side of that growth. This is not an entry-level territory role. We are looking for someone who has already built a book of business in a technical, code-driven trade - mechanical, electrical, HVAC, ductwork, fire and life safety, or a related building services field - and who can bring that discipline to a company with strong fundamentals and untapped commercial upside.
What makes this role worth your time:
- Established brand, underdeveloped sales function. Six decades of reputation and inbound flow, but the commercial sales motion has never been built out properly. You are not inheriting someone else's system - you are building it.
- Recurring, code-mandated revenue. NFPA 96 and insurance requirements make kitchen exhaust cleaning non-discretionary. Accounts you close stay on quarterly, semi-annual, or annual schedules and keep paying you.
- Real technical differentiation to sell. PECT-certified technicians, full NFPA 96 compliance, and our Absolute Proof® photo documentation program. You will be selling on quality and liability protection, not price.
- Seat at the table. This role reports into senior leadership and has direct influence over pricing, target verticals, and how the sales function is structured.
What you'll own:
Business development and market expansion
- Build and execute the commercial sales strategy for PKS across the GTA and surrounding regions.
- Identify, pursue, and close multi-location and portfolio-level opportunities - restaurant groups, franchise operators, hotel and hospitality chains, healthcare and institutional kitchens, and facility management firms.
- Develop relationships with facility managers, directors of operations, regional maintenance leads, and procurement contacts inside target organizations.
- Build referral channels with mechanical contractors, HVAC service firms, fire protection companies, and kitchen equipment suppliers.
- Represent PKS at industry association events, trade shows, and client education sessions.
Account management and retention
- Own the relationship with PKS's largest and most strategic accounts, including national and FM-managed portfolios.
- Conduct scheduled account reviews; identify scope expansion, additional locations, and service upgrades.
- Renew and renegotiate multi-year service agreements ahead of expiry.
- Act as the escalation point for commercial issues on key accounts, working with operations to resolve them without losing the relationship.
Technical sales and solution positioning
- Serve as the commercial subject matter expert on NFPA 96 compliance, cleaning frequency classification, AHJ requirements, and the liability exposure customers carry when systems are under-serviced.
- Scope complex and non-standard work - multi-hood systems, difficult duct runs, rooftop fan access, hinge kits, grease containment, and access-restricted sites.
- Translate technical and code requirements into commercial value for non-technical decision-makers.
- Work with operations and estimating to build accurate, defensible proposals on large or unusual jobs.
Pricing, margin, and commercial discipline
- Own pricing strategy for commercial and portfolio accounts within parameters set by leadership.
- Protect gross margin — know which work to bid aggressively, which to price at a premium, and which to decline.
- Track win/loss data and competitor pricing behaviour; report market shifts to leadership.
Team and process
- Provide direction, coaching, and pipeline oversight to the sales representative(s) on the team.
- Establish and enforce sales process standards — lead response times, quote turnaround, follow-up cadence, and CRM hygiene.
- Deliver weekly pipeline reporting and monthly forecasting to senior leadership.
- Contribute to annual revenue planning and target setting.
Required
- 7+ years of B2B sales experience in a technical or trade-based services environment — mechanical, electrical, HVAC, ductwork and sheet metal, fire and life safety, building envelope, industrial services, or commercial facility maintenance.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota, with specific numbers you can speak to.
- Direct experience selling to facility managers, building owners, operations directors, or procurement teams.
- Experience closing multi-location, portfolio, or contract-based business — not just transactional one-off sales.
- Comfort with code-driven and compliance-driven selling; ability to learn NFPA 96 to a level where you can advise clients credibly.
- Strong commercial judgement on pricing and margin.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence, clean record, and reliable vehicle.
- Physically able to conduct site assessments — commercial kitchens, rooftop access, ladders, and mechanical spaces.
Considered a strong asset
- Direct experience in kitchen exhaust cleaning, duct cleaning, or commercial hood systems.
- Existing relationships with GTA restaurant groups, franchise operators, hospitality chains, or FM firms (CBRE, JLL, Cushman & Wakefield, Colliers, BGIS).
- IKECA membership, PECT certification, or equivalent industry credentials.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior sales staff.
- Familiarity with FM work-order platforms such as Corrigo or ServiceChannel.
- Bilingual English / French is useful for national account work, but is not a priority for this hire.
