Corporate Sales Manager - Extended Stay
Lethbridge, Alberta
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and relationship-driven Sales Manager to lead the sales efforts for a new extended stay hotel in Lethbridge, Alberta.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished hospitality sales professional to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives that position the hotel as the preferred accommodation choice for corporate, project-based, government, healthcare, education, sports, and extended stay travellers throughout Southern Alberta.
The successful candidate will possess a proven history of exceeding revenue targets, building long-term client relationships, and developing new business opportunities within the Lethbridge market.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of hotel sales experience, including at least three (3) years in a senior hotel sales leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in corporate sales, negotiated accounts, group business, and local market development.
- Proven ability to consistently achieve or exceed revenue and market share objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative management team.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout Southern Alberta to develop business.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Extensive knowledge of the Lethbridge and Southern Alberta hospitality market.
- An established network of local corporate, industrial, government, healthcare, education, agricultural, and tourism contacts.
- Previous experience selling extended stay accommodations and securing long-term project business.
- Experience working with nationally recognized hotel brands.
- Knowledge of hotel revenue management principles and market segmentation.
A strong understanding of the SMURF market segments and the ability to generate business from these segments will be considered a significant asset.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, the Corporate Sales Manager will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing the hotel's annual sales and marketing plan.
- Prospecting and securing new corporate accounts throughout Southern Alberta.
- Negotiating preferred corporate agreements and long-term accommodation contracts.
- Building relationships with key decision-makers across business, government, healthcare, education, construction, agriculture, and industrial sectors.
- Identifying opportunities within the SMURF market and other high-value travel segments.
- Representing the hotel at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and community organizations.
- Collaborating with Revenue Management to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall profitability.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and new business development opportunities.
- Preparing regular sales forecasts, production reports, and account performance reviews.
- Working closely with Operations to ensure guest expectations are consistently met and exceeded.

Candidates with an established reputation in the Lethbridge market and a demonstrated record of growing hotel revenues through strategic account development will receive priority consideration.
Compensation
A competitive salary, performance-based incentive plan, automobile allowance, benefits package, and professional development opportunities will be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Only candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will be considered. Preference will be given to individuals with extensive hospitality sales experience, strong knowledge of the Lethbridge market, and a proven record of driving revenue growth in an extended stay environment.
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
