Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The Hydrovac Operator is responsible for the successful completion of the hydro excavation process.
Major Duties Performed
- Dig underground utilities with Hydrovac and various speciality tools.
- Dig trenches, holes and other excavation, as required
- Properly secure and transport equipment to work site and safely off-load
- Maintains equipment; lubricates, cleans, fuels, and conduct minor repairs
- Ensures work is performed in a safe manner
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on-site.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
- Ensure the work area is clean and organized at all times.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience operating a Hydrovac
- Valid Class 1or 3 drivers license and experience operating a manual transmission tri-drive truck
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures:
- o Ability to identify a utility service
- o Ability to distinguish utility markings
- Access to reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.00-$42.00 per hour
