Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for labour and finishing concrete surfaces with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality results on various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete techniques, as well as familiarity with related construction skills such as rebar installation and masonry. The Concrete Finisher will work closely with other trades to deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing concrete structures, contributing to the successful completion of commercial and residential projects.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes.
- Set forms and molds according to project specifications, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
- Install rebar and reinforcement materials as needed for structural integrity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute project requirements accurately.
- Apply finishing techniques such as troweling, smoothing, edging, and brooming to meet project standards.
- Assist with concrete pouring, curing processes, and surface repairs during renovation or new construction projects.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling tools and disposing of waste materials in accordance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, form setting, rebar installation, caulking, masonry techniques, and concrete forming is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on job sites.
