Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs. This role involves designing developmentally appropriate activities, supporting children's social and emotional growth, and collaborating with families and staff to promote a positive educational experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual student needs.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Support children's social, emotional, and behavioral development through positive guidance strategies.
- Assess and document children's progress, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, share best practices, and ensure consistency in teaching approaches.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding children's development, milestones, and any concerns.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times.
- Integrate bilingual instruction (English/French) when applicable to enhance language development.
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication with parents or staff.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing necessary accommodations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification/license for early childhood education.
- Experience working with young children in classroom settings; prior experience with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal—to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of child development principles, classroom management techniques, and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Ability to operate basic computer applications for documentation, planning, and communication purposes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities.

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
