Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair, particularly in a dealership setting. This role requires the ability to work with various hand tools, understand schematics, and perform heavy lifting as necessary. As an Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Assemble components according to schematics and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicles are operating efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely completion of service requests.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop environment.
- Weld components as needed for repairs or modifications.
Skills and Requirements:
- Journeyman Automotive Service Technician License
- Strong electrical and diagnostic aptitude
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems and schematics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management effectively.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and repair techniques as the automotive industry evolves.

Experience:
- automotive technician: 4 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driver's License (preferred)
- Journeyman Automotive Mechanics License (preferred)
