Hawthorne Seniors Care Community is currently recruiting multiple Service Support Workers in the Food Service & Housekeeping areas of our Seniors Community. Please note: ALL Service Support positions include BOTH food service duties and housekeeping duties.
Our Service Support team operates seven days per week, with shifts beginning as early as 7:00 a.m. and ending as late as 8:00 p.m.
We are currently seeking three (3) individuals for casual, on-call positions. Successful candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.

Details:
Daily tasks & duties (including but not limited to):
- Minor food prep/portioning, temperature recording
- Serving resident meals while following nutrition care plan requirements
- Setting and clearing tables
- Operating the dish machine, washing associated serving utensils/pots
- Kitchen clean-up, including replenishing stock and cleaning food storage areas-
- Maintaining kitchen supplies
- Housekeeping in general areas including public washrooms, office and lounge spaces
Qualifications:
- Good oral and written English communication skills
- Previous experience serving seniors, working in residential care and/or healthcare is desirable
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
- Current Food Safe Certification is required
- Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector screen
