Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing in accordance with medical terminology and pharmacy protocols
- Manage inventory levels by receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and tracking medication expiration dates
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients, answering questions related to medication or pharmacy services
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
- Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing prescriptions, and processing insurance claims
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area to promote a safe and efficient work environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care activities and medication management
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospital setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred
- Experience working as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Demonstrated ability to deliver compassionate patient care with attention to detail
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare providers
