Salary: $37.79 per hour per the Collective Agreement between the Town of Port McNeill and CUPE 401
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Town of Port McNeill is looking for a Public Works Operator Level 1 or 2 to assist with the operation and maintenance of municipal infrastructure and services.
Duties may include:
- Water distribution system operations and maintenance
- Wastewater treatment operations
- Roads, drainage, and general infrastructure maintenance
- Parks and public space maintenance
- Equipment operation and labour duties
- General Public Works tasks as assigned
The successful applicant will work as part of the Public Works team in maintaining essential municipal services for the community.
Required Qualifications
- EOCP Water Distribution Level 1 or 2 certification
- EOCP Wastewater Treatment Level 1 or 2 certification
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating equipment and performing physical labour
- Ability to work safely and effectively within a team environment
Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be considered.
