The Role
We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented Cook & Personal Assistant to help our family maintain a seamless and relaxing summer season, from late-June to Labour Day Weekend (September).
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, enjoys preparing fresh meals, and takes pride in keeping a home tidy and welcoming. You will be an essential part of our summer, ensuring the house runs smoothly.
This is a live-out position; the successful candidate must have their own reliable transportation and be able to commute daily to and from the Port Carling area.
Key Responsibilities
- Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing fresh, seasonal lunches and dinners (simple, healthy cottage fare).
- Grocery Shopping: Managing pantry inventory, creating lists, and handling trips to local markets/grocers.
- Light Housekeeping: Daily tidying of common areas, kitchen cleanup, and ensuring the cottage is guest-ready.
- Laundry Services: Handling light laundry duties, including linens, towels, and personal items as needed.
Weekly Schedule (28 Hours Total)
We require consistent coverage from Thursday through Monday to support the busy weekend periods.

What We’re Looking For
- Initiative: You are a "self-starter" who notices what needs to be done without constant supervision.
- Kitchen Skills: Comfortable following recipes and preparing fresh, high-quality meals.
- Reliability: Must have consistent, independent transportation to and from the cottage.
- Professionalism: Respectful of privacy and comfortable in a family-oriented environment.
- Organization: Expert at keeping the kitchen and household supplies well-stocked and orderly.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28.0 per week
