Kärcher North America, the leading provider of consumer, commercial and industrial cleaning equipment in the United States and Canada is looking for a Shipping Team Leader to join the team. This position will be located in our Springdale Distribution Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands and performs this job within the scope of the Kärcher Quality Policy by following specified processes, procedures and work instructions
- Delegates work responsibility to shipping employees based on daily business need
- Maintains a positive and collaborative relationship with all departments by encouraging team work among all employees.
- Assists in developing a safety conscious team and ensures that safety practices are followed.
- Assist Shipping Manager in developing efficient processes to ensure timely shipments.
- Assists Shipping Manager, Trainer, and Quality team in developing quality processes
- Leads team in meeting established goals and targets.
- Responds to quality issues by utilizing preventative and corrective action process
- Oversees various areas of the shipping department to include Picking, Packing and LTL
- Monitors daily metrics and provides analysis on identified issues
- Processes “Will Call” orders for customer pick-up
- Collaborates with Shipping Manager on system, work processes and employee relations issues
- Trains new employees on company and department policies and procedures
- Provides feedback to Shipping Trainer and Shipping Manger about new employee development and recommendations for cross training
- Processes orders as needed to ensure timely delivery for customers
- Monitors employee compliance regarding safety, shipping processes and company policies
- Maintains adequate shipping supplies
- Assists with time off requests related to the shipping department
- Uses computer programs Trakland, SAP, Internet, UPS Worldship as needed.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED
At least 3yrs. Of related experience
