Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Window/Door Installers and Labourers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing windows and doors in residential construction projects.
This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with various hand tools, and a solid understanding of construction and carpentry principles. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including restoration, new installations, and renovations, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation of windows and doors.
- Use hand tools such as drills, saws, levels, and caulking guns to install or replace windows and doors according to specifications.
- Read and understand schematics related to window and door systems, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Prepare work sites by removing old fixtures, framing openings, and ensuring surfaces are ready for installation.
- Install windows and doors securely, ensuring proper sealing with caulking to prevent air or water leaks.
- Perform restoration work as needed, including painting or touch-ups around installed units.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with hand tools, carpentry, or general construction work.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics related to window/door systems.
- Familiarity with caulking techniques for weatherproofing installations.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
