Louis W Bray Construction is actively hiring for an experienced Water Truck Driver(Tri-axle) to join our team and assist in the completion of complex, Heavy Civil Construction projects in the Ottawa area.
Job Description
- Operating a water truck to support construction activities, including dust control, soil compaction, and site maintenance across job sites within the City of Ottawa (no long hauls), year-round.
- Safely driving and maneuvering the water truck on construction sites, public roadways, tight access areas, and in high-traffic environments.
- Filling, transporting, and distributing water as required, ensuring proper usage based on site conditions and project needs.
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and completing all documentation on standard Vehicle Inspection Reports (VIR).
Requirements & Knowledge Needed to Succeed
- Valid Ontario Class DZ or AZ Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating water trucks or similar heavy equipment (manual transmission preferred)
- Experience in the Civil Construction Industry is a strong asset
- Strong understanding of safe water distribution practices and site safety requirements
- Geographical knowledge of the Ottawa area is a strong asset
- Familiarity with ELD systems is a strong asset
