Crystal Glass is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Credit & Collections Specialist to join our team in Edmonton. This role plays an important part in protecting the company's financial interests while maintaining positive relationships with our customers and branch locations across Western Canada.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, supporting collection efforts, assessing customer creditworthiness, investigating account discrepancies, and helping ensure sound credit decisions are made throughout the organization.

What You'll Do
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports.
- Follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances and overdue accounts.
- Investigate payment discrepancies, account variances, and billing issues.
- Review customer accounts and administer credit holds when necessary.
- Conduct credit checks and evaluate new customer credit applications.
- Assess and assign customer credit limits based on credit history, financial information, and company guidelines.
- Analyze payment trends and identify potential credit risks.
- Work closely with branch personnel and management to resolve account concerns.
- Maintain accurate collection notes and customer records.
- Prepare reports related to collections, credit, and accounts receivable performance.
- Assist with month-end processes and account reconciliations.
- Support continuous improvement of credit and collection procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, credit, accounting, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and confidently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience conducting commercial credit reviews and assessing customer creditworthiness is considered an asset.
- Experience using Equifax Commercial or other credit reporting platforms is considered an asset.
- Experience with ERP systems is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
