Summer Camp Opportunities
Are you looking to have fun and gain hands on work experience this summer? If you are experienced in supporting people with disabilities, we are running a summer camp for children, youth and young adults with disabilities at the Miracle League of Ottawa Baseball Field from July 6th to August 14th, 2026 with training starting on July 2nd, 2026.
Your main duties will be supporting youth and young adults with a variety of developmental and physical disabilities in a day camp setting. You will be integral in facilitating various activities and developing their skills while providing quality care. Help foster lifelong friendships and community connections. If you have more experience, there is opportunity to support campers as 1:1.
The camp is open from July 6th, 2026 to August 14th, 2026 and has a guarantee of 35 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays.
Some of the duties are as follows:
- Facilitating fun and inclusive recreational and/or social activities.
- Support individuals with daily living as required including, but not limited to, personal care-including showering, toileting, care of personal items etc.
- Participate, implement, and support all Individual Support Plans and Behaviour Protocols to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all individuals.
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience or education program enrollment/completion an asset.
- Access to a vehicle as location is not bus accessible
- Must have current valid CPR/First Aid training
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check
