About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organized HR Generalist to support a wide range of human resources functions while assisting with occupational health and safety initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong employee relationships, and helping maintain a safe, compliant, and positive workplace culture.
The successful candidate will support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, and training, while also coordinating health and safety activities including WSIB administration, incident reporting, and safety compliance support.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, and onboarding
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Assist with benefits administration and employee programs
- Support performance management and employee relations initiatives
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate employee training and development activities
- Assist with HR reporting and audits
Health & Safety Support
- Support occupational health and safety programs and initiatives
- Coordinate new hire safety orientation and training records
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action tracking
- Administer WSIB claims and return-to-work documentation
- Support Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings and documentation
- Maintain health and safety records and compliance documentation
- Assist with workplace inspections and safety communications
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator role
- Experience supporting occupational health & safety programs is an asset
- Knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and workplace safety legislation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Dayforce systems
- Apriculture experience and knowledge an asset

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
