About The Role
Caradoc Sands is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Day of Event and Wedding Coordinator to help plan and run events at our club, including weddings, tournaments, corporate outings, banquets, private parties, and member events. You'll work closely with the Events Manager and club staff to make sure every event runs smoothly from setup to breakdown. This role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
· Assist in planning, organizing, and executing golf outings, weddings, banquets, showers, and other private events
· Set up and break down event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, decor, AV equipment, and signage
· Serve as an on-site point of contact during events to handle questions, timelines, and last-minute changes
· Maintain event calendars, follow BEOs, set up floor plans, and ensure the client's contract is fulfilled
· Conduct venue walkthroughs and tastings with prospective clients
· Assist with Wedding Ceremony procedures.
· Help enforce club policies and ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Requirements
· Prior experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field is preferred
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines at once
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Comfortable working independently and problem-solving under pressure
· Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs for extended periods during event setup/breakdown
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, Teamup, and 7shifts
· Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule
· Obtaining an Ontario Smart Serve is preferred.
Schedule
This position requires evening and weekend availability, as most golf outings, weddings, showers, and banquets take place during these times. The schedule will vary week to week based on the club's event calendar.
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
