Citadel Roofing & Building Maintenance is currently looking to build our 2 PLY Torch Team - looking for TORCH/FLAT ROOF FOREMAN and TORCH ROOFERS.
The Flat Crew FOREMAN will be responsible for:
- Supervising and working with a crew to ensure safe and productive installation of flat roofing systems
- Ensuring all project sites are set up to job specifications, including required equipment and scaffolding
- Conducting safety meetings and workplace assessments/inspections
- Inspecting work in progress and completed jobs for quality control
- Ensuring and enforcing compliance with laws, rules and regulations, especially in accordance to WorkSafe BC Health and Safety protocols
- Other duties as assigned.
The Flat Crew INSTALLERs will be responsible for:
- Prepare, install, repair or replace, conventional 2 ply torch-on (built up roofing) systems using a variety of materials
- Work with large and small roofing crews in a teamwork environment.
- Ensure quality installation techniques are used and followed.
- Set up scaffolding, guardrails, or other fall protection systems to provide a safe work environment.
- Loading and unloading of materials
- Use of hand tools and power tools for installation
- Adhere to all job site safety requirements
- Any other duties as needed
While we don't like turning away good candidates, Citadel Roofing & Building Maintenance is looking for 2 PLY TORCH FOREMAN that meet these minimum requirements:
- 5+ years’ roofing experience
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to install Torch On 2 PLY SBS roofing materials
- Experience in a construction supervisor role an asset
- Must be able to read plans and blue prints
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to work at heights and in all weather conditions.
- Ability to safely lift minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Valid Fall Protection Certification required
- First Aid Level 1 considered an asset
