Position: HVAC Installation Technician
Responsibilities
- Install residential HVAC systems from rough-in through final commissioning.
- Install high-efficiency furnaces, central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, boilers, tankless water heaters, humidifiers, HRVs, ERVs, thermostats, and complete ventilation systems.
- Install refrigerant line sets, gas piping, venting, condensate drains, and electrical connections in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, HVAC layouts, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Fabricate and install custom sheet metal ductwork, return air systems, fittings, plenums, transitions, and ventilation components as required.
- Perform equipment start-up, commissioning, testing, balancing, and system performance verification.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, builders, homeowners, and team members.
- Complete projects on schedule while maintaining Green Life HVAC LTD's high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred.
- Experience installing boilers, furnaces, central air conditioners, heat pumps, and complete residential HVAC systems.
- Strong knowledge of residential HVAC practices, equipment, and installation procedures.
- Experience with luxury custom residential construction is considered an asset.
- Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and installation specifications.
- Experience installing custom sheet metal ductwork is an asset.
- Valid G2 Gas Technician Licence required (G1 considered an asset).
- Refrigeration Licence (313D or 313A) is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working at heights and lifting heavy equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional, dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
