Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Artist to join our team. This role involves preparing delicious sandwiches and other menu items while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong food handling skills, and have a passion for delivering a positive dining experience. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches and other menu items according to company standards and recipes
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately handling cash transactions and processing payments
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist customers with their orders, answer questions about menu items, and upsell additional products when appropriate
- Manage food inventory levels and restock supplies as needed
- Ensure timely service by managing multiple orders efficiently through effective time management
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing customer needs promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
- Kitchen or restaurant experience is beneficial but not mandatory; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential
