Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor/Assistant Manager to lead our retail team and ensure the smooth operation of our store. This role involves overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff, ensuring high levels of customer service and operational efficiency
- Manage daily store operations including merchandising, pricing, and inventory control
- Recruit, interview, and train new team members to foster a skilled and motivated workforce
- Oversee payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility
- Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training sessions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or assistant management experience in retail or related fields
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are preferred
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic bookkeeping tools
- Experience with recruiting, training & development, and performance management
- Knowledge of sales management, pricing strategies, and store management best practices
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage payroll processes
- Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities
- Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Competency in budgeting, marketing initiatives, and administrative tasks
- Multilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
