Overview
We are seeking a reliable, patient, and customer-focused Office Assistant to join our team. This role combines customer service, administrative support, and basic technical troubleshooting/support to customers and technicians. The ideal candidate is patient, eager to learn, self-motivated, and a team player with a strong commitment to customer service. The successful candidate will assist customers with inquiries, support security and alarm system operations, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office while maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Language skills preferred: Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
- Extensive problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently to identify and solve any technical problems that may arise.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with basic computer software, including Microsoft Suite applications.
- Valid BC Driver's License
- Minimum high school diploma or an equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Provide receptionist support, including answering and directing phone calls, greeting visitors, and responding to general inquiries.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and provide exceptional customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Troubleshoot and assist with alarm systems, security camera systems, and smart home technologies.
- Perform basic technical support and assist in diagnosing and resolving customer issues.
- Prepare, file, email, and mail invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Utilize basic computer software and office applications for administrative and customer service functions.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of customer and company information at all times.
- Support day-to-day office operations and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2 years of experience in customer service, administrative, and/or technical support.
