FACE is a vibrant, inclusive camp program focused on supporting children and youth with neuromoter disabilities. Our camp combines fun, skill-building, and therapeutic activities in a safe, supportive environment led by passionate staff who care deeply about making a difference.
Position Summary:
We’re looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and caring Summer Camp Assistants to join our team! As a Camp Assistant, you’ll support campers in daily activities, promote inclusion, assist with physical needs (including transfers, feeding, and communication devices), and help create a fun and memorable summer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist campers in participating in daily programming including therapy, crafts, games, and outings
- Support physical and communication needs of participants (training provided)
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging camp environment
- Collaborate with a team of camp staff, therapists, and volunteers
- Participate in staff training prior to camp start
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, especially those with disabilities, is an asset
- Energetic, patient, and adaptable
- Comfortable assisting with personal care (training provided)
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
- A clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required
