Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques.
- Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff during examinations or treatments.
- Conduct laboratory tests using our IDEXX in house lab equipment, such as blood work, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain detailed medical records, including pet care histories, treatment plans, and laboratory results.
- Administer medications, injections and treatments as directed by veterinarians while monitoring patient responses.
- Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with dental cleanings.
- Handle radiography (X-ray) procedures accurately while adhering to safety protocols to produce clear diagnostic images.
- Support pet owners through education on animal physiology, pet care best practices, and post-treatment instructions.
- Contribute to a positive clinic environment through dog training techniques and animal behavior management strategies.
Requirements
- Prior experience working as a veterinary technician or in a veterinary setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices.
- Experience with kennel management, grooming, dog handling, and animal restraint techniques.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray imaging, and aseptic techniques essential for diagnostics.
- Excellent animal handling skills combined with patience and compassion for pets and their owners.
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices such as catheterization and emergency response protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
