Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in and out using electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages accurately
- Verify patient insurance information and update medical records with precision and confidentiality
- Assist with appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up reminders to optimize clinic flow
- Maintain organized front desk operations, including handling patient forms, payments, and correspondence
- Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, updating patient charts, and managing documentation
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare privacy regulations while handling sensitive patient information
Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a dental receptionist or medical office assistant in a healthcare setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix
- Proven office experience with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of dental or medical office procedures is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Exceptional communication skills and a friendly demeanor to foster positive patient interactions
