Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Technician to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting principles, risk management, and financial analysis within the financial services sector. This role involves overseeing complex accounting functions, ensuring compliance through internal audits, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting the organization’s financial health.
Duties
- Prepare and submit monthly draws to banks
- Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvement
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and laws
- Manage the accounts payable process, including vendor payments and reconciliations
- Manage the accounts receivable
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings such as GST returns
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax requirements
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial information to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Processing day to day transactions on the accounting software Xero & Netsuite
Qualifications
- Must have CPA/CGA designation and experince in the Automobile industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Netsuite and QuickBooks
- Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Excellent risk management skills with a focus on identifying and mitigating financial risks.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: $57,414.32-$100,307.78 per year
