About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Contract Paralegal to join our growing practice on a flexible, independent contractor basis. This role is ideal for paralegals who value autonomy, entrepreneurial practice development, and the ability to directly benefit from the work they generate and manage.
Both experienced paralegals and newly licensed paralegals are welcome and encouraged to apply.
You will have the freedom to build and manage your own files while benefiting from the infrastructure, support, and reputation of an established practice.
Practice Areas May Include
- Small Claims Court Litigation
- Landlord and Tenant Matters (LTB)
- Employment Law (tribunal matters)
- Immigration support work (forms, applications, preparation)
- Civil litigation support work (motions, drafting, file management)
- (Experience in one or more areas is an asset, but not required if you have strong transferable skills.)
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage client matters from intake through resolution (within paralegal scope of practice)
- Provide legal services including drafting, document preparation, negotiation support, and tribunal advocacy as permitted
- Maintain strong client communication and professional relationships
- Work collaboratively with the firm on complex matters when needed
- Ensure compliance with all Law Society of Ontario rules and paralegal scope of practice
- Develop and grow your own client base and referral network
Fee Split / Compensation Structure
- Competitive revenue-sharing (fee split) arrangement
- Percentage-based compensation tied directly to files handled and revenue generated
- Transparent billing and reporting structure
- Flexible arrangements depending on experience and client origination
- Potential for increased split based on performance

What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Ability to independently manage files (or willingness to develop this skill)
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with performance-based compensation
- New licensees are welcome to apply
- Prior tribunal or litigation support experience is an asset but not required
