Position Summary
The Truck Driver - Class 1 will operate commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently. This role focuses on vehicle operation, delivery coordination, and compliance with transportation requirements while supporting daily logistics activities.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport goods according to assigned routes.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, inspection reports, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with dispatch teams regarding schedules, routes, and delivery requirements.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Monitor cargo loading and unloading procedures to ensure safe handling.
- Follow transportation regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Manage delivery schedules while maintaining communication with relevant teams.
- Review shipping documents and verify load information before transportation.
- Report vehicle issues, delays, or operational concerns to supervisors.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating commercial trucks in a transportation or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to complete vehicle inspections and basic operational checks.
- Ability to manage delivery documentation and records.
- Ability to follow routes, schedules, and written instructions.
- Strong communication skills for coordination with dispatch and team members.
Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
