Rainbow Contractors is hiring experienced cabinetmakers to join our custom production team.
These individuals must have a strong willingness to learn, work hard, work as part of a team and can receive and take instruction and will be responsible for tasks including:
- Build custom cabinets and components, using basic hand tools, laminate trimmers, jigsaw, squares, hand tools to craft fine workmanship
- Document all re-work
- Ensure all millwork is properly labelled and has pertinent h/w, misc. fillers, and shop drawings
- Clean finished cabinets and turn in all job folder documents for job file as required
Job responsibilities include:
- Understand company expectations of quality and time performance
- Help and lead the apprentices; answer any questions they may have and train when necessary
- Become acquainted with rainbow standards for millwork assembly/construction and environmental policies
Requirements of the applicant (Skills, Knowledge, Competency, Experience):
- 2+ years’ experience in woodworking shop, with an excellent understanding of shop drawings, machining and assembly methods, specialty hardware and meeting production schedules
- experience working with solid surface materials, such as Corian, is an asset
- Cabinetmaker ticket or equivalent experience, is an asset
- Must be approachable, hardworking and diligent
- Be able to work completely and safely on various tools
