We are currently seeking a 11 month Maternity Leave contract Recreation Coordinator to join our Long-Term Care team at Saint Luke’s Place in Cambridge.
Reports to:
Life Enrichment and Programs Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an integral member of our Programs Department, the Recreation Aide will share their passion for the evolving needs and desires of older persons by developing and implementing small and large group programs, supporting, and embracing a resident-centered social culture, assisting in identifying and assessing the residents needs to develop fulfilling activities and foster exemplary resident/family relations.
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will have:
- A Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma in Recreation and Leisure studies, and/or Gerontology
- At least one year of experience in programs at a long-term care facility
- Computer software knowledge
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- A current Police Vulnerable Sector Screen
