Journeyperson Manual Machinist

Overview

The shop provides a wide range of services, including valve, hydraulic cylinder repair, CNC and manual machining, and custom fabrication work. The company supports key sectors such as mining, forestry, trucking, and heavy equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a clean, well-equipped environment with diverse and technically challenging work.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate manual machining equipment for daily production
Work with lathes, milling machines, boring mills, surface grinders, and radial arm drills
Interpret blueprints and perform precision machining accordingly
Reverse engineer components when required
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining methods for efficiency
Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines
Safely operate overhead cranes
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
