Job Overview
The Main is looking for a dedicated Bakery/Café Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure food safety and quality, lead special event catering, and foster a welcoming environment for customers. This role requires a strong background in food preparation, restaurant management, and team leadership within the food service or hospitality industry. Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the bakery/café, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of quality and service
- Lead, train, and motivate staff
- Hire, train, and schedule staff
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally
- Manage budgets
- Oversee and assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality and consistency
- Implement hospitality best practices to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial and/or cooking role within the food industry, preferably in a bakery or café
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and inventory management
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
