Position overview:
Our client is seeking a commercially minded finance leader to join their team in a highly visible role supporting senior leadership across multiple business functions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys partnering with the business, influencing decision-making, and helping drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational performance through meaningful financial insights.
Principal tasks and responsibilities include:
- Partner with senior leaders across sales, operations, and other business functions to support strategic decision-making

Lead revenue, pricing, profitability, and margin analysis to identify business opportunities and risks

Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans

Build financial models to support growth initiatives, pricing strategies, business cases, and contract negotiations

Analyze business performance and provide recommendations to improve revenue, margins, and overall financial results

Lead monthly and quarterly variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year results
-
Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and actionable manner

Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to enhance dashboards, reporting capabilities, and decision-support tools

Drive process improvements across forecasting, planning, reporting, and financial governance activities

Support strategic initiatives, expansion opportunities, and ongoing business transformation efforts

Mentor and support members of the finance team while helping foster a collaborative and high-performing environment
Qualifications and pre-requisites:
- CPA designation preferred

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
-
8+ years of progressive finance experience within FP&A, commercial finance, business partnering, or strategic finance environments

Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business performance analysis

Demonstrated experience supporting revenue-generating business units and operational stakeholders

Strong understanding of pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and key business drivers

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial modeling, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders

Strong business acumen and ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations
-
Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI or similar platforms is considered an asset
-
