Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Loss Prevention Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in safeguarding company assets, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment across our facilities. This position offers an opportunity to utilize law enforcement skills and surveillance expertise to effectively deter and respond to security threats. Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Working Hours: 30–35 hours per week
Shift Duration: 5–8 hours per shift (between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM or up to 8:00 PM, depending on operational requirements).
Job Requirements:
- Regular foot patrols of the property.
- Extensive walking throughout the shift.
- Prolonged standing may be required.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be physically capable of performing patrol and security duties for the duration of the shift.
Duties
- Monitor store premises using CCTV systems and other surveillance tools to detect suspicious activities.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with store management and security personnel to develop and implement loss prevention strategies.
- Investigate incidents of theft, vandalism, or other security violations, documenting findings thoroughly.
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement when necessary.
- Educate staff on loss prevention policies and best practices to minimize shrinkage.
- Maintain detailed records of all security incidents and surveillance activities for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or loss prevention is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
- Familiarity with loss prevention principles and strategies to reduce theft and fraud.
- Excellent observational skills combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Effective communication skills for reporting incidents and collaborating with team members.
- Ability to interpret surveillance footage accurately and identify suspicious behavior. This role is essential for maintaining a safe environment while protecting company assets through proactive security measures and vigilant oversight.
