Role Overview
Our Client in Windsor ON is a warehousing and distribution operation servicing major automotive OEMs, including Ford and Stellantis. They are hiring a Full Stack / Senior Developer to join their DevOps department, with a strong emphasis on backend engineering. This role is responsible for building and maintaining the server-side platforms, APIs, and integrations that keep their warehousing operations running.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that power warehouse, inventory, and shipping applications.
- Model, optimize, and maintain relational databases supporting high volume transactional workloads.
- Develop and own integrations between internal systems and partner platforms
- Support EDI transactions used by OEM customers, troubleshooting application side issues, building tooling, and collaborating with the EDI team.
- Implement background jobs, scheduled processes, and queue based workflows.
- Build internal facing web interfaces (dashboards, operator tools, admin panels) on top of backend services.
- Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
- Support production systems and participate in an on call rotation as needed.
Must-Have Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate all of the following to be advanced.
- 10 or more years of professional software development experience with a clear backend focus.
- Strong proficiency in C#/.NET.
- Automated testing as a routine part of development, spanning unit, integration, and end to end coverage.
- Practical experience applying Clean Architecture or Domain Driven Design patterns in production systems.
- Strong relational database skills, including schema design, query optimization, using SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Working knowledge of Blazor (preferred) or another modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue) sufficient to build internal tooling and dashboards.
- Experience working with system integrations and third-party APIs.
- Direct exposure to warehousing, logistics, or the automotive industry, ideally supporting Ford, Stellantis, or Tier 1 suppliers.
- Comfort working with and extending legacy applications and integrations.
Preferred -to-Have Qualifications
- Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs in production (ASP.NET Core Minimal APIs is a plus).
- Familiarity with EDI concepts.
- Experience with message queues or service buses (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Kafka).
- Experience with cloud platforms, Azure preferred and AWS acceptable.
- CI/CD pipeline experience.

Pay: $75,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
