Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. This role involves performing tire repairs, replacements, and maintenance while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly desirable, along with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. The Tire Technician plays a vital role in maintaining vehicle safety and performance, contributing to customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Remove and replace tires using appropriate hand tools and power tools
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper inflation levels
- Perform wheel alignments and balancing as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance related to tires and wheels
- Assist customers with tire selection, sales, and recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Document services performed accurately in the system
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and effectively
Skills
- Dealership experience or mechanic background preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive maintenance equipment
- Excellent customer service skills to assist clients professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures related to tires and wheels
- Sales skills for recommending appropriate products and services
- Good communication skills and attention to detail for accurate work documentation
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
