Job Summary
We are seeking a enthusiastic and detail-oriented System Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver technical training programs for DIBT Building Automation Systems and platforms. You will play a key role in empowering our partners and customers through engaging classroom, virtual, and eLearning experiences while ensuring training content remains current with evolving technologies and product innovations.
The ideal candidate combines strong Building Automation Systems (BAS) expertise with excellent communication and instructional skills. You enjoy sharing knowledge, creating impactful learning experiences, and are comfortable traveling internationally to support training initiatives around the world.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance technical training materials for classroom, virtual, and eLearning delivery.
- Create new training content to support emerging products, technologies, and business initiatives.
- Produce engaging instructional videos and screen-capture learning resources.
- Deliver technical training sessions in person (locally and internationally) and virtually using Microsoft Teams or similar platforms.
- Manage online learning activities through a Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS), including course administration, assessments, quizzes, exercises, grading, and learner evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Training Supervisor and Administrative Assistant to coordinate training schedules, materials, logistics, and student records.
- Maintain training equipment, lab environments, and instructional resources, including controllers, wiring setups, tools, and testing devices.
Qualifications
- Degree or Technical Certification in Controls, Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Experience as a trainer, technical instructor, or in a similar knowledge-transfer role.
- Ability to create clear, accurate, and engaging technical learning content.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and classroom management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.
Asset
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on BAS field or application experience, including system configuration, programming, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of HVAC control systems, BACnet protocols and networking, Direct Digital Controls (DDC), access control systems, lighting controls, and GUI design principles.
- Experience developing training videos using Camtasia or similar content creation tools.
Work Location: Hybrid for local hires (3 days on-site, 2 days remote); fully remote for U.S.-based hires

Travel: Frequent travel required throughout the United States, Canada, Asia-Pacific region, Vienna, and Germany
Salary: $80,000 to $95,000
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
