Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Service Plumber/Gasfitter to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas fitting systems according to industry standards and safety regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools to complete installations and repairs
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during job assignments
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions using schematic diagrams and technical manuals
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing components and related fixtures as required
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for client documentation and compliance purposes
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Service Plumber or Gasfitter with valid certification/license
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in HVAC systems, carpentry, welding, and general maintenance tasks
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics in construction or service environments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods
- Prior background in construction or maintenance work is highly desirable
- Knowledge of safety standards related to plumbing, gas fitting, and general construction practices
