We are seeking an organized and service-focused Jr. Program Co-ordinator - Environmental Services to support the administration and delivery of environmental stewardship programs, including Refrigerant Management Canada and the Thermostat Recovery Program.
Working closely with the Manager, Environmental Services, you will help keep programs running smoothly by coordinating reporting, audits, records, stakeholder communications, outreach activities, and day-to-day program requirements. The salary range for this role is $48,000-$52,000 annually.
What You Will Do
- Support the planning, administration, implementation, reporting, and tracking of environmental stewardship programs.
- Maintain accurate program records, databases, documentation, policies, procedures, and compliance information.
- Assist with annual provincial stewardship reports and updates to provincial stewardship program plans.
- Coordinate annual audit activities with external auditors and gather required supporting information.
- Provide responsive service and program support to members, contractors, wholesalers, manufacturers, collection depots, service partners, Board members, and other stakeholders.
- Develop effective working relationships with government departments, stewardship organizations, committees, task teams, and industry partners.
- Monitor program budgets and support the preparation of annual budgets.
- Support program marketing, education, outreach, and engagement materials.
- Participate in meetings, working groups, stewardship associations, industry events, and conferences, as required.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve program processes, communications, service delivery, and overall effectiveness.
What You Bring
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, environmental studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to three years of experience in program coordination, environmental compliance, extended producer responsibility programs, or a comparable corporate environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage records, databases, deadlines, and multiple priorities.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; database management experience is an asset.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with a trade association, not-for-profit organization, stakeholder relations, or Board members is an asset.
