Harvest Meats, a leader in meat processing with over 95 years in the industry, is hiring for the Maintenance department at 501 York Road West in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. We are recruiting for a full-time Maintenance Technician to support all maintenance activities within our 190,000+ square foot facility, which produces all Harvest Meats products sold and distributed across Canada.
This position is ideally suited to a Journeyperson Electrician or Millwright; however, we are open to experienced maintenance professionals, mechanically inclined individuals, or apprentices with strong troubleshooting abilities.
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of processing, packaging, and facility equipment
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in a timely and efficient manner
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Assist with installation and commissioning of equipment and upgrades
- Work from blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and manuals
- Maintain accurate maintenance and work order documentation
- Support production and other departments to minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean, safe, and food-safe work environment
Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for a strong, well-rounded maintenance individual. Ideal candidates will have:
- Journeyperson Electrician or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification preferred
- Will also consider: Candidates with relevant experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, construction, or similar trades
- Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment in a manufacturing or processing environment
- Basic understanding of PLCs and automated systems is an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
- Reliable, organized, and safety-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a food production environment (cooler temperatures, physical work, heights, confined spaces, lifting up to 50 lbs)
