We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian / Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by performing routine cleaning and basic maintenance duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize offices, washrooms, break rooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors and surfaces.
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Restock washroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Clean windows, mirrors, doors, and other glass surfaces.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and buffers.
- Perform basic building maintenance and report any repair or safety concerns.
- Follow all health and safety policies and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other cleaning and custodial duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Cleaner, Custodian, Janitor, or Housekeeper is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Good attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Flexible to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required.
