About Chaiiwala of London Canada
Chaiiwala of London Canada is a South Asian café franchise with 25+ locations across Ontario, BC, Alberta and Quebec. We serve authentic chai, street food, and seasonal menus to a growing Canadian audience. Our brand moves fast; new LTOs, community moments, and cultural events are part of how we stay relevant. We need someone who can keep up.
The Role
We’re hiring a full-time Social Media Content Creator to own our Instagram presence and help us show up in culture, not just on a feed. You’ll report directly to the CMO and be based out of our Burnaby office, with regular visits to our BC store locations to capture content that is timely, on-brand, and actually worth watching.
This role is primarily focused on Chaiiwala of London, with the potential to support content for other brands in our portfolio as it grows.
This is not a Monday-to-Friday, batch-and-schedule job. We move with the season, the moment, and the menu. If you need two weeks of lead time to post a Reel, this isn’t the right fit.
What You’ll Own
- Instagram content strategy and day-to-day execution - Reels, Stories, carousels, captions
- Community management: responding to comments and DMs, engaging with followers and local creators
- On-location content capture at BC stores; you’ll be in the field regularly, not just at a desk
- Seasonal and LTO content tied to our promotional calendar
- Trend monitoring and real-time content ideation - if something is breaking, you’re already thinking about how we use it
- Collaboration with our CMO, culinary team, operations team, and franchisees to plan and execute campaigns
- Briefing and coordinating with external creators and influencers when needed
What We’re Looking ForRequired
- 2+ years creating social media content professionally, brand-side or agency
- Strong Instagram portfolio with demonstrated Reels performance
- Proven ability to shoot and edit short-form video on mobile (CapCut, InShot, or similar)
- Genuine feel for what’s trending and why; you follow culture, not just content calendars
- Community management experience - you know how to engage an audience, not just broadcast at one
- Comfortable working independently and making judgment calls without hand-holding
- Based in or able to relocate to the Burnaby/Greater Vancouver area; this is an in-office role with regular travel to BC store locations
Strong Asset
- Experience with food, restaurant, or lifestyle brands
- Food styling and photography skills - knowing how to make a plate look good matters here
- Familiarity with South Asian culture and food, you’ll be writing captions and framing content for an audience that will notice if you get it wrong
- Experience working with franchised or multi-location brands
What to Expect
- Direct access to the CMO - no layers, no bureaucracy
- A brand that is actively growing and investing in marketing
- Based out of our Burnaby office, with regular store visits across BC built into your week. When you’re not on location, you’re in office
- Seasonal LTO launches, media events, and brand moments to shoot and build around
- A team that moves fast and expects the same
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
