Are you a deeply reliable, organized, and energetic animal lover ready to step into a leadership role? Lucky Leash is looking for a Facility Manager & Team Lead to oversee our dog daycare floor operations, manage daily scheduling, and ensure our play packs stay safe, happy, and thriving.
No commercial daycare experience? No problem. While a background in pet care is an asset, we care much more about your character, your absolute reliability, and your passion for dogs. If you are coachable, highly responsible, and eager to learn, we will provide full, comprehensive training to teach you everything you need to know about professional pack management and canine behavior.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced hybrid role where you will split your time between supervising the daycare floor, greeting clients, and occasionally stepping out for mobile, neighborhood pet-sitting visits.
Responsibilities
Facility & Pack Supervision: Maintain a safe, low-stress, and structured play environment for our daycare dogs (fully trained by the owner).
Daily Operations: Open the facility, manage morning drop-offs/evening pick-ups, log daily updates, and maintain strict facility cleaning and sanitization protocols.
Team Leadership: Act as the main point of contact on the floor, ensuring daily safety checklists are executed perfectly.
Mobile Pet Care Support: Provide backup coverage for local mobile pet-sitting check-ins (dog walks, feeding, and home checks) when scheduled.
Schedule & Availability Requirements
We operate Monday to Friday and need a manager who prides themselves on being strictly punctual and consistent. Standard Morning Shifts: Start at 7:30 AM to open the facility and set up the floor.
Shuttle Days: Must be flexible to start at 7:00 AM on scheduled mornings to manage our morning client shuttle pickups.
Afternoon Flexibility: Available for mid-day handovers and closing out our late afternoon blocks as needed.
Compensation, Training & Perks
Competitive Pay: $21.00 to $23.00/hour based on leadership experience and core reliability.

Generous Driving Payouts: 100% tax-free mileage reimbursement paid at $0.73 per kilometre (following 2026 CRA guidelines) for all required travel between work sites and pet visits.

Job Requirements
The Essentials: Unmatched reliability, attention to detail, and a genuine love for working with animals.
Driver’s License: Valid BC Driver’s License and daily access to a reliable, insured personal vehicle for mobile check-ins.
Physical Stamina: Comfort staying on your feet for multi-hour shifts, managing active dogs safely, and working indoors and outdoors in all weather.
