Join One of Canada's Award-Winning HR Service Firms
At Pivotal Integrated HR Solutions, our business is built around people—and we're proud that our own employees agree. We have been recognized nationally as one of Canada's Best Workplaces™, earning recognition as #43 Best Workplaces™ in Canada (2026), #7 Best Workplaces™ in Professional Services (2026), Best Workplaces™ for Women (2025 & 2026), and Best Workplaces™ in Ontario, in addition to many other awards and recognitions over the years. These honours reflect something we're incredibly proud of: a collaborative, supportive culture where people are trusted, challenged, and given the opportunity to grow professionally. At Pivotal, we believe Human Resources should drive business success—not simply support it.
For more than four decades, Pivotal has partnered with organizations across Canada to solve complex workplace challenges, strengthen leadership teams, and build exceptional workplaces. Our HR professionals become trusted advisors to business owners, executives, and senior leaders by providing practical HR solutions that make a measurable difference.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Bilingual HR Business Partner to join our consulting team. Rather than supporting a single employer, you'll become an integral part of our clients' organizations while working alongside experienced HR professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service.
About the Role
As an HR Business Partner, you will work closely with one of our HR Directors and serve as the primary HR partner for assigned clients, providing practical advice and day-to-day support across the full employee lifecycle.
You will primarily support one of our valued Montreal clients remotely approximately 3 days each week. The balance of your time will be spent working remotely or supporting clients throughout the Greater Toronto Area or in Quebec. As client and business needs evolve, the role may include occasional on-site support thus is Hybrid.
You will partner with client managers and executives to resolve workplace issues, provide guidance on employment legislation, assist with recruitment and onboarding, support performance management initiatives, coordinate leaves and disability management, and help create positive employee experiences.
Because our clients operate in different industries and environments, every day brings new opportunities to solve unique HR challenges. One day you may be coaching a manager through a difficult employee relations issue, while the next you could be supporting a workplace investigation, reviewing HR policies, or assisting with organizational change.
Success in this role comes from building trust, exercising sound judgment, and providing practical solutions that balance legal compliance with business needs.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an HR professional who has developed a strong foundation through 4 to 6 years of progressive Human Resources experience and is ready to take the next step in their career.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Professional fluency in both English and French, with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with employees and leaders in either language.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and confidently manage sensitive and confidential workplace matters.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented consulting environment.
- Experience supporting organizations operating in Quebec, including familiarity with CNESST, Quebec employment standards, and provincial employment legislation.
- Experience with HRIS such as Dayforce, Workday, UKG, ADP, or Employment Hero.
- A university degree in Human Resources or a related discipline (preferred).
- A CHRP designation, or active pursuit of the designation, is considered an asset.
Why Join Pivotal?
