We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our Winnipeg logistics team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our supply chain by ensuring the timely and secure delivery of pharmaceutical products to healthcare facilities, pharmacies, and distribution centers across Manitoba and surrounding regions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer to transport pharmaceutical products safely and efficiently
- Plan and follow optimal delivery routes to ensure on-time deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any maintenance needs
- Secure cargo properly and maintain temperature-controlled conditions when required
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper logs of hours, mileage, and deliveries
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding route updates, delays, or issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations
- Provide professional and courteous service during customer interactions
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle
WHAT YOU BRING
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driving abstract
- Several years of professional truck driving experience (long-haul or regional)
- Current medical certification as required by regulations
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and substance screenings
- Strong knowledge of regulations and hours of service requirements
- Ability to lift and move items as required for loading and unloading
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused mindset
- Good communication skills and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with Winnipeg and Manitoba routes is an asset
- Experience with refrigerated or temperature-controlled transport is a plus
