Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Dining Room Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean dining environment to enhance the overall guest experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure timely delivery of orders, managing time effectively during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including table setup, sanitation, and resetting tables for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food safety and proper food preparation procedures are followed
- Address guest inquiries promptly, providing excellent customer service and guest services support
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed in accordance with food safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for bill calculation, cash handling, and upselling techniques
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus but not required
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance the dining experience
